Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of the flour, undissolved yeast, herbs, and salt. Stir gently.
  • Stir in the 1 cup of warm water and F. Oliver's Olive Oil into the dry ingredients.
  • Stir in the egg and enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough (it may exceed the 2 1/4 cup mentioned; it depends on the humidity of the environment).
  • Once well incorporated, cover for 10 minutes.
  • Uncover after 10 minutes and with lightly oiled hands, spread the dough into a baking pan (9 x 13 in) or cast iron pan.
  • Add any desired toppings like veggies or cheese.
  • Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow dough to rise for 15 - 30 minutes until it is almost doubled in size. You want the dough to be warm, you can set it near your oven.
  • Preheat oven while dough is rising to 400 degrees F.
  • Once the dough has risen, bake at 400 degrees F for about 25 minutes or until done.
  • Let cool on a wire rack and serve warm or dip into an F. Oliver's Flavor Infused Aged Balsamic.
