How to Incorporate F. Oliver’s Products Into Your Holiday Meal
Why F. Oliver’s Makes a Holiday Table Special
Our philosophy centers on freshness, quality, and flavor.
Using F. Oliver’s products during the holidays, when meals are often about gathering, generosity, and indulgence, is a way to bring specialty-shop flavor and elegance into everyday home cooking.
Here’s a look at how you might build a holiday menu around our products from first nibble to lingering dessert.
Start with An Appetizer
- Crostini with infused-oil bruschetta: Brush slices of toasted baguette with an infusion such as Fresh Pressed Blood Orange or Fresh Pressed Meyer Lemon, then top with whipped goat cheese, a drizzle of aged balsamic, and a sprig of fresh herb. The citrus-enhanced oil gives brightness to start the meal.
- Marinated olives or nuts: Toss mixed nuts or olives in an herb-infused oil (e.g. Heady Garlic or Herbes de Provence), add cracked Finger Lakes Flake Salt and warm briefly. A simple, elegant snack with a subtle olive-oil and lake salt finish.
Main Course
- Roasted vegetables or root-vegetable medley: Toss seasonal veggies (think carrots, Brussels sprouts, squash) in a specialty oil such as Sage with Wild-Harvest Mushroom Olive Oil. As an alternative, you can toss the veggies in our one of our spice blends.
- Pasta side dish with infused oil: Use handmade pasta or a fun holiday-shaped pasta and toss it with Tuscan Garden Olive Oil. As a bonus, you can make some fresh bread and use our Mini Bread Dipping Kit.
Drinks & Cocktails – Why Limit F. Oliver’s to Food?
- Merry Mocktails & Cocktails Gift Box: wWe have just introduced a new gift box that includes recipe cards for Elderberry Margarita, Pomegranate Prosecco & Orange Cream Whiskey.
- Flavorful Seltzer Water: Add a splash of one of our Balsamic or Specialty Vinegars to add a bit of flavor to seltzer water for an interesting twist.
Gourmet Desserts
- Vanilla Ice Cream with Balsamic Drizzle: Use a dark, aged balsamic to drizzle over vanilla or gelato – trust us, the richness and acidity create a beautiful balance.
- Roasted French Walnut Oil Brownies: Swap out the butter for F. Oliver’s Roasted French Walnut Oil or Fresh Pressed Blood Orange Oil. The addition of the olive oil creates extremely fudgy brownies.
